This is a homepage for the psychotherapy practice by Dr. Yuko Hanakawa. I embrace a holistic approach in respect to the wisdom of our heart, brain, and body. We all have tremendous self-healing potential within ourselves. My role is to awaken the healing potential inside you by cultivating a warm and safe partnership through our therapy sessions and to help it blossom like flower. My philosophy is to use all modalities of therapy - experiential talk therapy, hypnosis, and neurofeedback - to accelerate the natural healing process.

Welcome

If you are feeling lonely…

If you are so down that you feel you cannot get up…

If you are feeling so stressed out that you can’t make any decision…

If you are feeling lost as if you’re walking in darkness …

If you have painful past that keeps you from moving forward in life…

If you encounter recurrent difficulties with different people…

Or if you feel not belonging …

I’m here to help.

I embrace a gentle holistic approach in respect to the wisdom of our heart, brain, mind, and body. My approach intends to heal the root cause of the problems, instead of treating just symptoms; the results are that you feel transformed in your thoughts, feelings, and the way that you see yourself and others.

We all have tremendous self-healing potential within ourselves. My role is to awaken the healing potential inside you by cultivating a warm and safe partnership through our therapy sessions and to help it blossom like flower.

My style is characterized by a healing-oriented psychotherapy model, AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), combining Neurofeedback and hypnotherapy. I'm a Faculty member at AEDP Institute and Certified Trainer in Neurofeedback. I'm also sensitive to multicultural/acculturation issues.

I would be honored to support your journey to find the river of self-healing flowers within. I look forward to meeting you!

*Note: The name of my Homepage, Flower Rivers, is a direct translation of my last name. I use it as a way of greeting you with a personal touch.
